New York State Parks Winter and Summer Series Volunteer Guidelines 2012

  • All volunteers must check in with the Volunteer Coordinator ONE HOUR prior to race time.
  • Volunteers need to be ready, willing and able to fulfill any volunteer duty that is needed - including but not limited to: pace signs, beer truck, any water stop, barbequing, etc.
  • All volunteers must stay at their assigned location until the job is complete or are relieved by someone in charge. Please do not leave the work for someone else to do.
  • Members who help out either before, after the event or arrive late are not volunteering and are not given credit for volunteering. Any help is always greatly appreciated, but volunteers give up their time to support the running community and will and should be rewarded for their efforts.
  • The state requires that once distributed, volunteers must wear the shirt/hat that they provide.
  • A volunteer will be needed for the transportation and care of the BBQ grill on a weekly basis.
  • *This is an additional credit, once you meet your minimum requirement*
  • Any member that volunteers for 3 events will still be eligible for gift certificates only!
  • For the Trip Raffle - members must volunteer for 4 events and 1 event must be a winter event.
  • In the case where you absolutely cannot volunteer in the winter, you can volunteer for 5 events and qualify for the Trip Raffle.
